Three powerful yachting associations in the same frame.
The 6th International Yachting Industry Event, held in Marmaris from December 13-15, 2024, marked a first in Turkish yachting history. Hosted by the Turkish Yacht Captains and Employees Association (TYKÇD), the event brought together the Association of All Yacht Operators, Brokers, and Agents in Turkey (TYBA) and the Yacht Brokers Association (YBA).
The event, which brought together yacht captains, crew members, and industry professionals, featured the three major associations of the Turkish yachting world in the same frame. This historic gathering led to decisions on collaboration and joint action for the future of the industry.
The representatives attending the meeting emphasized the importance of sectoral cooperation and agreed to develop joint projects. This meeting in Marmaris was considered a strong step for the future of the Turkish yachting sector.
It has 23 members.
TYBA has been serving the industry since 2017 with a fleet of 800 high-standard rental boats and 98 members. YBA, established in 2022, represents yacht sales brokers with 23 members. TYKÇD represents yacht captains and crew members with nearly 2,000 members, the majority of whom are captains.
