Turkey's Green Port certified cruise ports are only Kuşadası and Bodrum.

Ege Port Kuşadası and Bodrum Cruise Port, both part of Global Ports Holding, the world's largest cruise port operator, have renewed their Green Port certificates.

Among Turkey's cruise ports, only two have the Green Port Certificate. Aziz Güngör, General Manager of Ege Port Kuşadası, “We are happy to contribute to making Turkish ports an international brand in terms of environmental awareness.”.

Only Ege Port Kuşadası and Bodrum Cruise Port received the Green Port Certificate, which is given to port facilities that are more environmentally sensitive within the scope of the Green Port Project of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. Aziz Güngör, General Manager of Ege Port Kuşadası and Bodrum Cruise Port, and Haluk Hızlan, Port Manager of Bodrum Cruise Port, received the certificates from Mehmet Cahit Turhan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, at a ceremony organized by Global Ports Holding, the world's largest cruise port operator.

We have maintained our status for four years without interruption

Aziz Güngör, General Manager of Ege Port Kuşadası, pointed out that Global Ports Holding is constantly updating plans and projects to reduce the environmental impact of its ports in the 9 countries where it operates and said, “We have been an active participant since the Green Port Project started. As Kuşadası and Bodrum, we have been renewing our certificates every year since 2016. Reminding that Ege Port Kuşadası is the largest port in Turkey in terms of passenger traffic and Bodrum is among the most attractive holiday destinations in Europe and the Middle East, Güngör said, ’We are happy to contribute to making Turkey's ports an international brand in terms of environmental awareness.”.
